The Victorian opposition is proposing a plan where drug dealers who sell to addicts who go on to commit murder would face a mandatory decade in jail.
Dealers who sell drugs to addicts that go on to kill people could be charged and face 10 years in jail under a proposal by Victoria's political opposition.
Ice addicts are accused of being behind the wheel of two separate car attacks in Melbourne's CBD in 2018 and Opposition Leader Matthew Guy wants police to have the power to charge the dealers who supplied the methamphetamines.
The charges would be heavily reliant on accused criminals giving up the name of their dealers to police, shadow attorney-general John Pesutto told reporters.
